Leah Grace's Update

On Monday, Leah went for her re-check to see if her viral load was really as bad as the last test suggested.
The results are in and, yep, the virus really is just that AWFUL.

Monday we started back on meds.
New meds that will knock that virus from here to kingdom come.
The good news is that Leah is not resistant to any med, so if we have a compliance issue in the future (I can't imagine a teenager not complying.... ha) we will have lots of options should she develop a resistance.

So praise the Lord for these medicines that give my girl a hope and a future.
Lord, you are good to us!
Still praying for the miraculous healing....

To Remember....

Seth calls the Jeep his "Jeek."
I giggle every single time.

Last night as I put Leah to bed, she said to me, "Prayers Jesus, Momma."
Perhaps she noticed that I was in a rush with her nap-lovin' brother bouncing off the walls of the room.
It was as if the Holy Spirit spoke right through her.
"Slow down, Momma....."
And so I did.
And we said our prayers to Jesus.
Precious girl....

Leah is now 34 inches tall.
Home just 10 months.
Nice.

Leah got expelled for three days for biting her teacher.
Yes, you read that right.
Expelled.
Um, she's two.
(Whatever)
I guess it makes for a good graduation story for her one day....

Seth is thriving in school.
Loves it and hasn't once complained about going.
Thank you God!

Tried to start potty training Leah.
Wet her undies in less than 20 minutes after changing.
So.Not.Ready.

Seth and Leah frequently speak to one another in words I do not understand.
And they have full conversations in that "language."
Weird.

I praise you, Lord, for my children are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Sticker Chart Success!

Before I get to the sticker chart success, I thought I'd show you the outfit my dear daughter picked out on Saturday.
She was initially VERY upset that she had to put a shirt under her jacket.
Little stinker....
About two months ago, the kids moved into the same room.
Yep, they now share.
In order to "quiet" the evenings and actually get some sleep, I made the "I can stay in bed and fall asleep even when I'm with my favorite sibling" chart.  Ten stickers and a BIG prize for them.

Well, about a week ago, the chart was fulfilled and (more importantly) they are rock stars at bedtime.
Success!!

Yesterday, the surprise arrived.
Guess what I have????

Excited much?
(as was momma, hence the blurry pics....)
And this was BEFORE he knew it would MOVE!

It's hilarious to drive over (kill) my plants.

Good thing it's an "off road" vehicle....

Yes, Great Aunt Peg, you were right.
They LOVE.....
God help our neighborhood!

Leah Grace's Update

Before we get to the health update,
here's my new favorite outfit.  :)

Leah's test results are back.
Her viral load went crazy.
As in really crazy.
And I freaked.

So this week we get her resistance testing and back on meds asap.
You can pray for us in this.
And my heart.
Love my little Leah.....

The fish

Seth's teacher didn't ask for much for her classroom, but one thing she did request was a fish and/or a furry friend.  I thought after Seth's first few days went so well, it might be a special treat for him to pick out a fish (beta) for his class.  So off to PetSmart we went.

Let's just say, the fish was a hit.  :)

You may wonder what the next picture is of....
Look close.
Yep.  That's Leah's big lips kissing that fish!
Ha!
