The fish

Seth's teacher didn't ask for much for her classroom, but one thing she did request was a fish and/or a furry friend.  I thought after Seth's first few days went so well, it might be a special treat for him to pick out a fish (beta) for his class.  So off to PetSmart we went.

Let's just say, the fish was a hit.  :)

You may wonder what the next picture is of....
Look close.
Yep.  That's Leah's big lips kissing that fish!
Ha!

My pre-teen two year old

It was Leah's turn to start school today.
Just for 30 minutes, with me.

When I left to take Seth to his *almost* full day, Leah lost it.  She was SO excited and the fact that I was leaving without her was more than she could handle!

I dropped off Seth and came home for an hour before Leah's turn.

When the appointed time arrived, I said, "Leah, it's time for school."

She jumped up and RAN for the door.
Excited much???

Leah had no issues posing for her first day pics.

And then the entire way to Keystone, she was yelling, "Leah go to school!"
Oh dear.

We got there and Leah was at home.
I mean, seriously.

She put her extra clothes in her drawer and started off to work.

Leah quickly grasped that she could take a tray of work to her table and "play" it.  And then she chose another.  And another.  I think she did six different jobs in 30 minutes.  Hysterical.

Anyway, 30 minutes tomorrow, an hour Wednesday (which she will miss) and two hours both of Thursday and Friday.  Then FINALLY next week, we are all full-time in our classes.
Phew!  This phasing in stuff is for the birds!  :)

Happy school, sweet pea.

All things new!

Saturday we went to the zoo with Grandma and Papa.
It had to be the best zoo visit we've ever had.

After the Merry-go-round, we actually looked at animals!
And didn't play on the play grounds!
Weird....

And here's a little tip:
Zoo in the afternoon is WAY better than the morning.
The animals are awake and entertaining!

Leah Grace has a "bad" habit these days.
(giggle)

Makes it kinda hard to walk!

High five with Papa.....

To add a nice little topper to our weekend, Seth's teacher emailed with a report on his first few days.  It was full of adjectives like "bright" and "good listener" and "sweet" and that he is trying soooo hard.
I'm speechless.

My heart is beyond full.

AMEN Jesus!

YOU make all things new!!!
