Hazel and Shannon

From the beginning, Hazel and Shannon have had an, ehm, unique relationship.  One puppy maniac and one cat who believes she is a dog.

This morning, we were sitting outside and Hazel was trying to snuggle Shannon.  I got up to capture the moment, and Hazel got up with me.

Darn it.

But then, I asked Hazel to get back up next to Shannon again.  Not kidding.  I asked her . . . like you would ask a kid.

Hazel turned around, jumped up, and then proceeded to try to put her arm around Shannon.

If it weren't true it wouldn't be so frighteningly alarming.

Alas.... our doggies....

Fall Fun

With school back in full swing {whew}, we have had some fun going fall stuff and getting ready for the cooler part of the year.

The boys and I went to a Northwestern football game.

Even with "good" seats, it's still hard for Seth to see, which is a huge bummer.

 Luigi was watching the bands at half way.  hah!

 We had a lazy Labor Day, playing around the house. 

 Maniac Hazel was so tired after this day, she slept from about 5 pm to 7 the next morning.

We need more of that for this pooch....
