He has Risen!
I explained to my babies this year that Easter is the time when we celebrate that Jesus died on the cross and rose again. One of the ways we celebrate is to pretend that the Easter Bunny brings us baskets of goodies.
On Easter morning, Seth took off for his basket and proclaimed,
"And then Jesus ROSE from the dead!"
Okay then!

Easter Weekend
We had a VERY busy Easter weekend.
It all began.....
With Thomas.
Excited much?
Yahoooo!!!
Ummm, cotton candy!
Let the show begin!
My handsome little man . . . .
Mesmerized!
After a great night with Thomas, on Saturday we went to Westinghouse High School where Breakthrough Urban Ministries was hosting the First Annual Olympic event. It was great fun!!
Run, Leah, RUN!
Per usual, it was a little hard for Seth to get acclimated.
But not my girl. She was busy helping Grandma and Papa run archery!
Maybe I'll be a football star.....
Or just a jump rope champion! :)
Finally, Seth is ready to engage.
They had tennis
And football and soccer and baseball and dance and basketball and and and
Seth's favorite part was the RV. Now THIS is a car he can see under!
Look at those size 11 -- ELEVEN -- feet!
After we ran it out at Breakthrough, on Sunday, we had Easter!
Leah had no problem identifying her basket.
Yea, her hair was still in "process" during this picture session.
haha.
This is Leah quickly realizing that the best part was the CANDY!
Seth got a Metra train that he became obsessed with at the hospital.
Yea, those are his clothes from the day before....
I'm over it.
You stay away from my stuff and I'll stay away from yours!
Ahhh Toddlers.
After a great church service, we went to my parent's house for some fun and food.
But first, we had to check all of the cars (naturally)....
We played some ball.
Some trains....
Got more goodies
This little girl would NOT read a book three months ago.
Now she's obsessed!
Like my outfit, Sam???
I think Leah thought the egg hunt was an exercise in cleaning up. Ha!
And Seth wasn't overly interested.
Our (failed miserably) attempt at an Easter picture of my fam.
With a little help, Seth found some eggs.
Big cousin Ruben helped!
In all, it was a GREAT Easter.
Can't wait to continue celebrating our Lord all the way 'til He comes again.
