Last night, Seth had his final swim lesson of the year. Because he's in a different level than Leah, his three week session has been at 6:30 -- an hour after Leah and Zechariah.
Jeb was willing to be with my other two babies during Seth's lesson so I was able to take Seth out by myself. Oh the things they say while alone.....
Seth bounced his exuberant self into the van {where I had been waiting} and announced out of nowhere:
"Mom, when I'm grown up, I'm still going to stay with you!"
Ok, great, Seth! I'd love to have you!
But, aren't you going to get married and have babies?
"Oh, I'm going to have LOTS of babies!"
Who is their mommy going to be?
"Mommmmm, YOU are their mom!"
Well, shouldn't I be their grandma?
"No, you're their mom."
Don't you want to get married?
"Mommmmmm!!! {Getting irritated} We ARE married!"
Oh, my mistake. What if I want a husband?
"Ok. You can have a husband. You can marry Mr. {insert EX here}."
Thanks for the permission, Seth. You think that would work, eh?
"Yep! Okay, good. So I can stay with you forever, right?"
For as long as you want, my boy. As long as you want....
{sigh}

Sweet, sweet, sweet boy! When I was waiting for Andrew, everyone told me I would love having a boy because boys love their mamas. It's so true. :)
