Laugh? Or Cry?

Our nanny was gone for over two weeks.
Definitely not laugh....

Maggie ran out of dog food early last week.

I didn't have time to get her any.

Apparently, the cheap cat food I had on hand makes her puke.

All over the place.

Not laugh.

Saturday, I finally become a good pet owner and buy Mags some food.

All good.

Hours later, Seth fills the food container (40+ pound bag) with water from the hose.

I shrieked.  (Cry?)

Dumped out the food onto the deck for "drying".  (Laugh?)

(It remains there for three days)

Leah wakes up from a nap.

We head to the park.

I talk to Keith and tell him the foregoing and that
"my head popped off."

Seth hears this and becomes very concerned that Mommy's head has left its body.

As in, he asks me all weekend if "my head is popped off."  (Laugh?)

Parenting toddlers is HARD work.
Particularly one toddler named Seth (who I LOVE).

In honor of my parenting exhaustion, I'm starting a Be Thankful challenge.
To myself.

Each blog, one necessity, one nonessential, and one person
that I'm thankful for.

Breathing
I'm thankful for it.
Particularly on beautiful, crisp summer mornings.
Like today.

Trains.
I'm thankful for them.
So I don't have to fight traffic and can relax on the way to work.

Seth.
I'm thankful for him.
Because God knew he would grow and challenge me to love more.
And better.

Thankful.
