Random -- Blessings and Statements

Meet Chris.

Chris and his wife Kim have "adopted" our family into their own.
I'm not really sure how it happened.
I might have foisted us on them.
Or Chris might have bombarded us.
Either way we are SO thankful that we have them in our lives.

Chris loves to play with my little man and, well, Leah LOVES Kim.
It's so important to me that my kiddos have time with men (in particular) other than my family since there isn't a man in the house.  Chris fits the bill perfectly.  So grateful....

In other randomness, I thought I'd tell you some recent conversations around our place.

Last night, Seth told me repeatedly (maybe 50 times?) that his leg was broken.  Over and over and over.  "Mommy, my leg is broken."

Hmm.  Made me wonder what Eveline had told him.
"Don't do that.  You will break you leg."

I can see it now:  Seth does it anyway and decides that, in fact, his leg IS broken.
Oh brother.

Leah Grace is also talking more and more.
Her two favorite things to say are:

"I do it!!!"

I wish you could hear her say it.  Oh my!

And the second?

"Owwwiiieeee!"

Perfect for a two-year old and perfect for a child who was in an orphanage for her first two years of life:  complete and utter independence (she even gives herself her medicine alone these days) and complete and utter neediness when someone brushes by her arm.  OUCH!  ;)

Ah the joys of parenting toddlers!
