Seth is going to the potty (as in the TOILET) nearly every time now. Even poops. Or, right now, especially poops! Multiple times a day! As Linn tells me, "Get used to it. He's a BOY." She makes me giggle. I'm so proud of him. Now to make sure that he doesn't regress like so many kids do . . . .
In other news, Seth has also started pretending. He has long treated his trains like people, and pretended with them, but now, it's changing. Yesterday I was drying my hair and he was playing upstairs. When I was done, I walked in his room and he was laying (yes, laying) in his bed with his stuffed Thomas and Clifford. I thought he must be sick. I walked over and laid on his bed next to him. Seth said, "No, Mommy." Um, what? I told Seth I just wanted to snuggle him. He said, "No snuggle, Mommy. Get out." Hmm, that was pretty clear, as I flashed forward to the teenage years...
So I left and went downstairs to get our bag ready and check my email. I didn't hear him come down but when I came back up from the basement, Seth had made his way to the living room. He had all of the living room pillows spread out around him on the red couch, along with Thomas and Clifford. I walked in and cheerfully said, "Oh, HI Seth and Clifford and Thomas!" Seth was quick to the punch: "Nooooo, Mommy! Get out." Sigh. I left again, but grabbed my camera and tried to snap a few very cute pictures of Seth and his friends hiding from me. As I peeked around the corner, I could see Clifford and Thomas talking to each other. Adorable. I will post a couple of shots later.
Last, I emailed with my attorney again today. (Yes, I'm driving him nuts). He said that they are going to try to get the declarations this week and Betty's orphanage confirms they know these people. I guess I only have to fast all week as opposed to the next two months. Just kidding!! (kind of....) Thanks for the prayers!
